A recent case of cyber-bullying in my immediate family has brought us to the decision that for our emotional and actual safety we will remove ourselves from all but the barest minimum of online interactions.

This decision was not made lightly, but has probably been growing for a while, as the situation worsened. It also meets our growing sense that we need to bring our activities more closely in line with our values, especially our belief that the most energy should be spent on the people closest to us. Essentially we are adopting a "Slow" approach to life, where we hope to have fewer but deeper connections to our community.

So, classes are still running, and will be better than ever with all that extra mental energy going into them ;) but this blog will only be used for notifications.

Sewing for Others

I have just been contacted by a group called Angels for the Forgotten. They are looking for people who can help sew bags to be given to children entering care.

I am designing a pattern to download, once I've worked out how to do that :-) It should be up, in some form, by Monday.

Bags can be left with me, along with any suitable donations for the contents.

The bags will be distributed in WA, so we'll be able to make a real difference to kids that quite possibly live in our own suburbs. To me, that's important.
